Happy Monday, JNSPers! I hope you had an awesome long weekend and a great holiday. I know I did!
My mom and I kicked off Thanksgiving with a Turkey Trot 5k, and it was such a great way to start the day. I didn't PR my 5k time, but I ran (almost) the whole way. It was my first bout with cold-weather running, and I loved it! I have a couple more races coming up, so I will be running more often which will hopefully help me PR.
I think I mentioned it before, but Kyra and I hosted Thanksgiving. It was my first time hosting a holiday get together, and it was really awesome. Kyra did pretty much all of the cooking while I got the apartment cleaned, organized, etc. We made a pretty good team, aka no major disasters or fights! Woohoo!
Friday, I worked from home which translates to me laying on the couch in my PJs while I worked on my laptop. It was 10 kinds of glorious! Friday evening, I went over to a girlfriend's house to hang out and have pizza & wings. Gotta love girl talk and chick flicks!
Saturday was a lazy day mostly, but Kyra and I saw Catching Fire with my sister and brother-in-law. It was an awesome movie! I have read all of the Hunger Games books, and the movie aligned really closely with the book. Even if you haven't read the books, I highly recommend watching the movies!
On Sunday, I went wedding dress shopping with my cousin who has been my BFF since I was born. She's only 8 months older than I am, and we were pretty much destined to be best friends. I am honored to be in her wedding, and it was so awesome being there as she said yes to the dress!

Overall, it was an amazing long weekend. While there was a lot going on, it was all so much fun and filled with happy times. This month is going to be crazy busy, but it's going to be such a blast celebrating the holiday season!
See you all back here tomorrow for a beauty PSA!
